With 18 years of experience in travel and hospitality, including 11 years with Bursch Travel, Cara brings firsthand destination knowledge and a passion for travel to every vacation she helps plan.
Before joining Bursch Travel, Cara spent seven years working in travel and hospitality while living in Hawaii, giving her a personal connection to the islands. Her specialties also include Mexico, Alaska, European river cruises, and Ireland.
One of Cara’s most meaningful travel experiences was visiting Ireland, where her great-grandmother was from. After growing up hearing family stories about the country, seeing the Cliffs of Moher, kissing the Blarney Stone, meeting the friendly locals, and staying at Ashford Castle made the trip especially memorable.
Cara believes the best travel experiences often happen when you stay curious, keep an open mind, and embrace the unexpected.

Meet Sheila
With a travel career that began in 1999, Sheila brings more than two decades of experience to helping clients plan vacations throughout the United States and around the world. She has been part of the Bursch Travel team since 2003.
Sheila specializes in Alaska cruise-tours, cruises, Hawaii vacations, and all-inclusive getaways to Mexico and the Caribbean. Her years in the industry give her the experience to help travelers sort through their options and find a vacation that fits how they want to travel.
Sheila also enjoys adventure in her own travels. One of her most memorable trips took her to Belize, where she stepped well outside her comfort zone—rappelling down a waterfall, cave tubing, ziplining, swimming with nurse sharks, and taking part in a full-day expedition that included hiking, river crossings, and swimming into cave chambers.
That experience reflects Sheila’s belief that travel doesn’t always go exactly as planned—and that embracing the adventure can lead to some of the best memories.
