Custom Vacations: Travel Designed Around You
Your interests. Your pace. Your kind of vacation. Expertly planned by Bursch Travel.
Not every vacation fits a preplanned itinerary. Maybe you want to explore several European cities, celebrate a milestone somewhere special, or discover a destination beyond the usual highlights.
Bursch Travel’s experienced advisors help create personalized journeys, coordinating accommodations, transportation, sightseeing, and special experiences around your preferences.
What Is a Custom Vacation?
A custom vacation is designed around you rather than a fixed itinerary. It might combine popular attractions with lesser-known places, private tours with independent exploration, or sightseeing with time to relax.
And custom doesn’t necessarily mean luxury. It means making thoughtful choices that fit your interests and budget.
What Could Your Custom Vacation Look Like?
Personalized European Journeys
Explore Italy at your own pace, visit several European cities, or spend more time discovering one region. Your trip might include scenic train rides, boutique hotels, local food experiences, and guided sightseeing.
Private Tours & Special Experiences
Discover a destination through private guides, culinary experiences, cultural activities, or other opportunities you might not find on your own.
Nature, Adventure & Exploration
See the Northern Lights, explore national parks, or encounter wildlife in its natural habitat. Your itinerary can reflect your preferred activity level and comfort.

Milestone & Special Occasion Travel
Celebrate an anniversary, birthday, retirement, or graduation with a meaningful getaway, whether that’s a romantic escape, cultural journey, or gathering with loved ones.
Accommodations That Fit Your Travel Style
Where you stay is part of the experience. Picture a boutique hotel in Paris, a countryside villa in Tuscany, a traditional ryokan in Japan, or a lodge surrounded by nature.
Your advisor can help you select accommodations based on location, atmosphere, amenities, and budget.

Frequently Asked Questions About Custom Vacations
What is the difference between a custom vacation and a vacation package?
A vacation package typically combines travel services or follows an established itinerary. A custom vacation offers greater flexibility in choosing destinations, accommodations, activities, and how you spend your time.
Some custom trips may still include packaged components when they’re a good fit.
Are custom vacations more expensive?
Not necessarily. Personalized travel can accommodate a range of budgets. Costs depend on your destination, accommodations, transportation, and experiences.
Your advisor can help you decide where to prioritize your spending.
Can you help plan a trip to multiple destinations?
Yes. Our advisors can coordinate transportation, accommodations, and sightseeing across several cities, regions, or countries to create a well-organized itinerary.
Can I include both guided experiences and free time?
Absolutely. Your trip can combine planned tours and activities with opportunities to explore independently.
How far in advance should I start planning a custom vacation?
Starting early is especially helpful for multi-destination trips, popular travel seasons, and experiences with limited availability. The ideal timeline depends on your plans and flexibility.
Do I need to know exactly where I want to go?
Not at all. You can start with a general idea, a few destinations you’re considering, or simply the kind of experience you’d enjoy. Your advisor can help you explore the possibilities.
