Meet the Artists
Canaan Smith
Circa 1992- in Williamsburg, VA, Canaan Smith was baptized in the James River at 4H Campground. That storied water never dried. It followed him to Nashville, where he has cemented himself as one of Music Row’s most prolific writers and long-respected artists. His songs still carry the current—winding through the mainstream at his own steady pace. More than a decade into his run in Music City, Smith remains one of those rare artists who can weather the trends and still sound like himself: grounded, restless, and trusted by the songwriting community whenever something honest needs said. Having gone platinum with his 2015 hit “Love You Like That,” Smith most recently scored his second #1 with Tyler Hubbard’s “Park” and is a writer on Hubbard’s current single, “Land.”
Jason Nix
Award-winning songwriter Jason Nix has become one of Nashville’s most sought-after talents. His songs have been recorded by artists including Vince Gill, Darius Rucker, and Lainey Wilson.
His songwriting credits include the ACM Song of the Year “Things A Man Oughta Know” and Billboard’s Top 25 song of 2024, “Hang Tight Honey.”
