REI Adventures trip to New Zealand

We returned Sunday afternoon and I have hardly had a chance to sit down and take a breath.
We had a terrific time! Maybe best vacation ever. Certainly best vacation in YEARS! The REI team was great. And all participants (except one) were great. Made a few new friends!
The guide was super in that we turned out to be a fast group that could hike more than most. So he added a bunch of extra hikes to our itinerary. He said that is the most any group has hiked in the 4 years he has been doing REI hikes. We also did two long kayaking trips. We also paid extra to take a helicopter ride above the alps / glaciers. Really neat!!! That was an experience of a lifetime.
And the accommodations in Auckland and Christchurch were both great. That B&B in Christchurch is adorable. Really nicely outfitted and great location. There was a local theater across the street from it so we went to a play one night. That was fun! It was very bawdy and gave us more insights about NZ cultural and political history.
Thanks SO MUCH for helping make this vacation a reality!!!!!!!!! It was really really great!!! Now I want to plan another overseas trip…
