Vacation Travel Advisor – All Bursch Travel Locations

Bursch Travel is adding to our team! We are seeking a full-time, sales-driven travel advisor with a passion for travel and delivering great customer service.

What You’ll Do:

  • Design Dream Vacations: Consult with clients to understand their travel aspirations, preferences, and budget, then design and book custom itineraries (flights, hotels, cruises, tours, car rentals, etc.).
  • Be a Destination Expert: Provide expert advice and recommendations on destinations, travel products, and experiences, ensuring clients are well-informed and excited about their trip.
  • Manage Bookings & Logistics: Handle all aspects of bookings, from initial inquiry to post-travel follow-up, including modifications, cancellations, and problem-solving.
  • Build Relationships: Cultivate strong, lasting relationships with clients through exceptional communication and personalized service, leading to repeat business and referrals.
  • Stay Informed: Continuously expand your knowledge of travel trends, industry updates, vendor offerings, and new destinations through training and research.
  • Utilize Technology: Efficiently use travel booking systems, CRM software, and other tools to manage client accounts and bookings.
  • Promote Bursch Travel: Actively contribute to our marketing efforts by sharing client success stories, participating in agency events, and embodying our brand values.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience: Previous experience as a travel advisor or in a related customer service role within the travel industry is preferred. Proven sales experience in another industry is also a plus.
  • Passion for Travel: A genuine love for exploring the world and a desire to share that passion with others.
  • Exceptional Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication, with the ability to connect with diverse clients effectively.
  • Customer-Focused: A proven track record of providing outstanding customer service and building client loyalty.
  • Detail-Oriented: Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy in bookings and itineraries.
  • Tech-Savvy: Proficient with booking software, CRM systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and comfortable learning new technologies.
  • Problem Solver: Resourceful and calm under pressure, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve unexpected travel issues.
  • Self-Motivated & Organized: Ability to manage multiple client requests and bookings simultaneously while working independently and as part of a team.

This role is for our branch locations. We are not hiring for a remote position.

Bursch Travel offers a stable hourly base salary, with additional income opportunities through a performance-based commission program. Additional benefits include health insurance, 401k match, profit sharing, and travel stipend to increase your destination knowledge.

Corporate Travel Advisor – All Bursch Travel Locations (Experienced Advisor)

We are on the hunt for a driven Corporate Travel Advisor to join our passionate team.

What You’ll Do:

  • Curate seamless travel experiences for corporate clients, tailored to their unique needs and budgets.
  • Leverage our state-of-the-art technology to craft efficient travel itineraries.
  • Provide expert advice on global destinations and activities.
  • Foster relationships with diverse corporate clients, ensuring a memorable service experience.

What You Bring:

Industry Knowledge

  • Deep understanding of the travel industry, including airlines, hotels, and transportation services. – Familiarity with travel regulations, policies, and visa/passport requirements.

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in using travel booking systems like GDS (Global Distribution Systems) for reservations. – Comfort with modern travel management tools and technology for creating itineraries and managing client accounts.

Customer Service Excellence

  • Exceptional communication skills to effectively liaise with clients and providers. – Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships, focusing on client satisfaction.

Problem-Solving Skills

  • Capacity to navigate unforeseen challenges, such as travel delays or cancellations, swiftly and effectively. – Keen attention to detail to ensure error-free bookings and arrangements.

Organizational Skills

  • Ability to manage multiple client accounts and bookings simultaneously. – Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet tight deadlines.

Sales Skills

  • Ability to upsell or cross-sell services, enhancing the client’s travel experience.
