Explora Ships

Immerse yourself in all of the detail behind the Explora Journeys ships, from design and architecture to safety and technology features. Designed in partnership with the world’s foremost superyacht specialists, EXPLORA I sets sail in August 2023 with EXPLORA II setting sail in August 2024. The remaining four best in class ships will set sail in 2026 – 2028.

Explora Journeys holds the seas and oceans that sustain the planet in the very highest regard. The ships will utilize progressive technology and innovations to ensure Explora Journeys is always leading the movement towards a more sustainable future. Built with ship-to-shore power capabilities to avoid CO2 emissions while at berth and powered by marine gas oil, all six ships will be RINA DOLPHIN certified for reduced underwater noise. Ships III & IV will be powered by LNG while ships V &VI will feature a new generation of liquified natural gas that will tackle the issue of methane slip and will also be equipped with industry first environmental technologies and solutions, including a containment system for liquid hydrogen that will enable them to use this promising low-carbon fuel.  Hydrogen fuel will power a six-megawatt fuel cell to produce emissions-free power for the hotel operation and allow the vessels to run on ‘zero emissions’ in port, with the engines turned off. Single-use plastics also will not be used onboard the ship, nor will they be offered during land-based experiences.

Enjoy ten distinctly inclusive culinary experiences including in-suite dining, focused on healthy, delicious food from local, sustainable sources. Twelve indoor and outdoor bar and lounge experiences with varied entertainment as well as intimate performances, a casino, an art gallery, and shopping experiences, mean your experience is perfectly curated from beginning to end.

Wellness is a top priority with over 7,500 sq. ft. of indoor and outdoor wellness facilities and over 2,900 sq. ft. of fitness facilities with the latest equipment. Fourteen decks will provide ample indoor public space, maximizing guest choice and creating areas of quiet seclusion and privacy.
